75 minutes, 4 companies, 80 talents, ∞ opportunities

 

What it is all about

We create a match between the best tech talents and the most exciting companies.

HackZurich, Europe's largest and most renowned Hackathon, works with the best tech talents worldwide and is the first to know about unique job opportunities from more than 500 partnering companies. 

For each session, we virtually unite 4 partner companies and 80-100 talents in an online session. The CTO or engineering lead of the partner company gets 5 minutes to pitch for the attention and favor of the tech talents. The goal is to present career opportunities, the way of working, and the company culture in a short, concise, and authentic way. After each pitch, the talents get 10 minutes to ask questions to the tech lead & HR representative from each of the partners. After the session, the tech talents choose with which company they would like to meet for a 30-minute, in-depth, informal exchange within the following 7 days. For now, the event will initially take place virtually.

We address curious tech talents from all kinds of disciplines who are looking for exceptional career opportunities. You are a team player who loves technology and loves to learn? You are driven by purpose and a pragmatic doer who wants to have an impact? We are open to graduates, young but also experienced professionals.

Companies

We address open-minded and forward-thinking companies of various sizes and industries, who dare to break new grounds by honing their focus on the needs of the world’s best talents. You are looking for exceptional talents (graduate, junior, senior) all over the world but with at least one location in Europe.

How it works

 

Three weeks before

  • We select 4 companies for each session to pitch for talents (online)

  • Companies tell us all about profiles they are looking for (experience, location, …)

  • Talents sign up for the session they are interested in

The pitch session

  • We all meet in a Zoom Call

  • 5 min Pitch: CTO / engineering lead of our partners pitches for the attention & favour of the talents

  • 10 min Q&A: talents ask questions to engineering lead & HR representative

After pitch session

  • Talents tell which companies they are interested to meet

  • Companies invite talents for a 30min 1-to-1 call within 7 days

  • Talents and partners decide about next steps and job opportunities

About HackZurich

Founded in 2014, HackZurich has rapidly developed into Europe’s largest and most prestigious hackathon. A total of 600 international participants are selected from more than 5000 applications from more than 70 countries. Over the course of 40hours participants work in teams to develop highly innovative prototypes for web, mobile, desktop, and hardware applications.
